This wishbone kit when used with other performance parts can transform the driving experience of your mk1 golf including:

We are now offering 2 options for these billet control arm kits. One has an extended lower ball joint and a suitable steering arm flip kit for use with 15” +, the other has a short lower ball joint adapter to allow the use of factory steering geometry without the steering flip kit .

Details:

precision cnc machined, hard anodised billet 7075 aluminium track control arm with high performance PTFE lined stainless steel ¾” outer ball joint bearing and aircraft grade, heat treated, teflon lined inner spherical rose joint with 20mm of track width adjustment.

zinc plated En8 lower ball joint extender drops the factory lower ball joint position to give a preferred roll centre, this can be tig welded into position once installed.

The zinc plated seamless tubular compression strut bolts firmly onto the track control arm using our custom made en24 steel clevis, the rear of the strut supports a double adjustable, aircraft grade, heat treated, teflon lined rose joint which give a huge range of castor correction and setup.

the factory steel rear wishbone mount has been replaced with our custom anodised billet 7075 aluminium version which supports the compression strut using high tensile hardware.

the factory steering track rod end has been replaced with an aircraft grade teflon lined rose joint attached with our custom made 7075 aluminium adjustable adapter to dial in tracking. the rose joint is attached to the factory hub using our bespoke en24 steel tapered bolt which matches the drop on the lower ball joint adapter and has built in bump-steer correction and also allows further bump-steer adjustment if needed.

this wishbone kit has been designed from the ground up and has been taken from our billet hub/big brake kit also available on the website.
